Oh Tina, so sorry you had all this trouble on boxing day.
You are right though, you and your husband are the ones who know how to deal with Mat, and anyway I would never dream of telling my sister's children off. I may have wanted to in the past but you don't do you ? I wouldn't have liked them telling my child off either.
Your mum-in-law certainly shouldn't have hit Mat.
Sorry to hear how bad your hands are too and I hope you can get a diagnosis and treatment soon.
Have you thought about Dan having the mtx by injection? This usually stops the sickness.
Good luck with getting an appointment tomorrow.

Love, Doreen xx

Oh Tina, I do hope you can see your GP soon - you have been waiting so long for some answers, and getting absolutely nowhere. Please God someone can help you soon, as long-running pain like yours is so very debilitating.

I hope the MTX sickness eases soon for Dan - the doctor can give him something to help with sickness if it`s really bad, it might be worth asking.

I`m sorry things were not so good on Boxing Day - Christmas can leave families fraught sometimes, and things are sometimes said in the heat of the moment which would be better left unsaid. I remember some time ago now, my daughter-in-law getting quite upset at some "advice" her nan gave her about child-rearing, which left things rather strained for a while, but it was sorted fairly quickly when tempers had cooled.

You are a strong person Tina, who always puts her children first - they are very, very lucky to have you as their mum, and never let anyone tell you otherwise. Everyone here knows you would run through a brick wall for them. You know you can always count on us here.

Take care,

Kathleen x

Oh Tina, my lovely. I am truly so sorry this happened with your M-I-L and Matt- and it is absolutely no one else's right to discipline your children. You are quite right to feel aggrieved and upset about this and I hope you receive an apology. Like you rightly say, you have been through so much this year and this is not what you need. I would never ever dream of telling someone else's child off...I am more than happy to tell my own off! But never someone else's, no matter what I feel.

Your hands and pain have become so severe now , probably because of the amount of time you have been neglescted for. Proper and thorough tests need to have been carried out and haven't. Appropriate care has not been offered snd therefore you are becoming more ill. I am horrified to read how much pain you're suffering now, and feel this is unjust. I think you must demand to see a rheumatologist or a specialist physician?

I am so sorry about Dan too..what a shame after it not causing any sickness for a good while. Poor love.

Always here for you.

Love and prayers,
A

Dear Tina,

I hope to goodness that this GP listens to what you are telling him and arranges a blood test and an appointment to see a specialist ASAP.

The boxing day episode must have upset you so much as it would have done anyone of us. How dare anyone lift a hand to your child! But you know what, as long as she and everyone else now understands that you will not tolerate such abuse and/or interference, is it worth holding the anger against her and waiting for an apology?
I have found that there are times to be dignified and rise above such people/incidents. You know she knows, and everyone else knows that she hit a child, not just any child but her own grandson! That is humiliation enough for anyone!

Thinking of you and want to hear that you are being listened to by this GP.

Love Eleanor x

Hi lovely Tina

I am so sad that you are still in so much pain. Thank goodness you have a GP appointment tomorrow. Please, please write everything down and refuse to budge until you have answers to ALL your questions. It shouldn't be like this for you as you have so much else going on in your life.

As for the incident on Boxing Day - well, if anyone hit my child, I would be furious. I DO reprimand George when he gets out of control - but would never smack either of the little ones.

When are you back in work, Tina? Maybe we could get together sometime? We can get to Wigan fairly easily.

Lots of love

Hi Tina
I really hope you get all the answers you need at the GP
as for the boxing day episode
boy I am glad she was not my m-i-l
I have never smacked Sophie as I know how to handle her as you do with your children
I think adults hitting a child is wrong we are bigger then them how would your m-i-l have reacted if you hit her
and your s-i-l it was none of her business you should of told her to back off
I really get wound up when I see people hitting children as I said we are bigger than them and to hit them must hurt a lot
try not to get too up-set
good luck at the doctors
take care
Mary L

well i am back, he says he cant really help need to be refered to orthopicis ( bad spelling )
so i said how long he said well could be months i said i have had it a year now if they had refered me all that time again i would not be as bad.
He said it still could be carpol syndrume even though that test come back ok so whats the point of doing the bloody test i ask you.

so told him i can not wait months as got to point cant even grip anything so asked him to refer me to private so he gave me number and i have just rung it and asked for the docotr he said dr trail and no such person so they transered me and i got transfered about 3 times and no one is any the wiser so i have just rung up the doctors to ask for the name again cause that one wrong and guess what they shut only left 10 mins ago so still have to wait till tomorrow and to top it off i came down with something half hour ago and cant stop throwing up feel awfull, got kids to cook for how awfull when being sick, anyway off again as i type this

Hi Tina - this is absolutely appalling. I think you should go ahead and get the name for the private doc but think you need to complain about this treatment to practice manager. This is a complete and utter let down for you when they must realise how desperate you are to ask to be referred as private patient. I hope the stomach bug doesn't last too long. Thinking of you and wishing there was something we could do to help.

Oh Tina, what about the other symptoms you have? Glad that you are going to see someone private. Best of luck.
